Location: Dominical, Dominical, Costa Rica
Set with an overview of a jungle covered valley and the white water coastline up to Manuel Antonio, this home was designed for simplicity inside and all of Costa Rica’s natural beauty outside.
Pull through the sliding wood gate that provides security and privacy and right into a carport. From there you or your guests can enter directly into the kitchen, walk along a sidewalk to the “front door,” or go right through the back of the carport to the patio/pool area.
Either way, when you go inside you will find a large living area that includes a kitchen designed for whatever level of meal preparation you are inclined to do, a bar or table dining area, and a living area that connects right out to a large patio and the swimming pool. It all transitions easily between indoor and outdoor living so you can enjoy either.
There are 2 bedrooms and a “half” that can be used for a nice office or studio or even overflow sleeping in a pinch. The master suite fits a king size bed, has its own closet and attached bathroom, and has a sliding glass door you can exit directly onto the pool area. The second bedroom also has that captivating view through a sliding glass door and shares the second bathroom with guests and visitors.
Earthtone flooring tile and a generous use of natural wood lend warmth and a beautiful finish to closets, pantries, cupboards and window trim throughout the home.
Access is on Lagunas roads that are well known for regular maintenance and good condition. As part of the Lagunas community you will have neighbors you can’t see but who are just a few minutes away. Take your morning walks on the gravel road right in front of the home and look for monkeys, families of green parrots, blue morphos, jesus lizards, iguanas and more.
If your goal is to have an easily maintainable property within 13 minutes of Dominical’s beaches but at an altitude where the air is fresher and the views are bigger, this is well worth a look. Live there full time or rent it out when you aren’t here—either way works well for you in a home like this.
