Remote controls allow you to lift the walls as you approach the home. The motors are installed behind easily accessible panels.
The kitchen is open to the dining living area. The counter area is complete with country-style stainless steel sink. The cabinets are all imported from Europe with either press to open or easy-slide pull features. While the professional matching range and hood aren’t included, owners are willing to negotiate for their purchase. Parallel is a long kitchen island lined with tiles along the sides, and two awesome pop-up power bars on either end. These power bars recede until they are flush with the countertop when not in use. Beneath the counter is a small wine storage space.
Designed by the owners, their 20+ years in Costa Rican is brought to bear on every thoughtful and satisfying detail. An a-symmetrical roof has imported Italian motor-operated windows to allow heat to escape. A solar panel powers the pool pump, All electrical outlets imported to ensure quality. The German-made toilets, Turkish bathroom sinks, retractable mosquito screens, and custom bedroom doors are all of the highest quality. Fiber optic 100 MG internet is available throughout the home as well as the large workshop at the bottom of the property. The main floor is also wired to support a complete surround sound system.
One of the three bedrooms is on the main floor, suitable as a second master bedroom. Complete with it’s own bathroom and circular stairs to an upper loft suitable as an office, individual lounge, or artist’s workspace.
The stairs to the lower level are stainless steel custom stairs with charming lighting at each step.
On the lower level we find a cozy second bedroom with en suite bathroom designed with kids in mind, and the larger master bedroom with an open closet, a suite bathroom with double bamboo sinks and a wonderful shower with three different shower heads. A hand shower, a Kohler rain shower, and the not-on-the-market yet Nibia shower that releases a fine mist for a unique almost spa experience. All are on a remote control where one can get the shower running so it reaches your perfect temperature before you ever get in. If you are delayed, it shuts off automatically while maintaining the temp until you arrive. The lower level master bedroom has another unique feature – a safe room. It exists under the stairs, the hidden access is in the master bedroom bathroom.
Master Bedroom Lighting is also on a remote control, allowing you to turn on lights as you descend the stairs, and to calibrate the intensity or softness to a fine degree for a very pleasant lighting experience.
All the windows are high-end sliders with double pins. They won’t fail you over time.
The laundry room is set up for both gas and 220 volt. The gas tank is in the garage next to the house so gas delivery doesn’t need to come into the home.
There is a large bodega with tons of storage space. It is where the Air Conditioning unit as well all the mechanical operations for the home. Everything is very accessible for maintenance purposes. There is a surge protector for the electrical built in as well as a gas generator for everything at 110 Volts.
The grounds have 4 vegetable gardens ready for planting as well as over 150 different fruit varietals that will start maturing within the next couple of years.
The L-shaped property has a second access point at its bottom end. There you’ll find a two bedroom container house and their large almost 1800 sq ft workshop.
The container home is cozy and has been used as a rental property and to house workers during construction projects. The workshop is fully powered with high ceilings and internet and has been used to rebuild vintage cars, but could be adapted to any use such as a pottery studio, or painting studio, or furniture refinishing.
